About STA-TFC 5on5

The mission of STA-TFC 5v5 is to provide a fun environment where clans can compete on old and new maps alike. We work hard to ensure that our rules are clear to everyone, and have tried to strike a fair balance between 'anything goes' and over-regulation. Clans are expected to exhibit fair play and good sportsmanship, demonstrating respect not only for their opponents, but also for themselves.

We, the administrators of the STA-TFC 5on5 League, welcome you to join us on Tuesday nights in our mission to create a truly fun league.

Thank you!

Requirements

This league was designed primarily for fun, but we do have a few requirements we're fairly strict about:

1. You must have enough players to field a 5 player team every Tuesday. We suggest having around ten players in your clan, but you must have at least seven on your roster at the time of application before you'll be accepted.

2. You must be able to keep your roster updated.

3. The main contacts must have access to IRC and e-mail. A webpage is not required, but it is nice to see. For IRC, use the Gamesurge server and register a channel for your clan (go to #support to register a channel). Your clan will not be added without its own channel.

4. You must have read and understand the rules. We will not accept a "but I didn't know" as an excuse for everything. Every rule that we actively enforce is on the rules page. READ IT.

5. You must be able to run HLTV and RingerFree on your server. A STA HLTV.cfg is on the files page for downloading.

6. Your clan name and tag must pass basic suitability requirements. We're not fascists about it, but a certain level of propriety is expected.

If you meet these requirements, send in your application now! Skill level doesn't matter. We have a wide variety of skill levels in this league and I'm sure you will find it fun and accommodating.

Screening Ladder

The screening ladder is there to make sure that clans are prepared for 5v5; instead of having clans join the league and then leave again a few weeks later due to lack of preparedness, the Screening Ladder attempts to ensure that every clan making into a 'regular' division knows the rules, is familiar with the STA TFC 5v5 procedures, and has enough people to play on a regular basis. Record in the SL is also used to help determine into which ladder a clan gets placed.
