| Mondays Schedule Delayed | 9:32am EST | Fornaught | I need to hold back Monday 8vs8 schedule for a day or two, for a couple of reasons.
First we had a minor match dispute that needs to be resolved.
And better news, we have two new clans joining our 8vs8 who need an extra day or two to sort out their player lineups. If you are a free agent player looking for a clan, this would be a great time to find one.

| Friday Schedule is posted, Title Match | 9:30am EST | Fornaught | This week we have a Title Match in our Friday 6vs6 League. (OA)-Online Athletes defends their Title from a challenge by the newcomers .NFC-No Fat Chicks Allowed. This should be a fun match to watch, let's hope they have spectator spots.
About Title Matches, our titles are a "king of the hill" type weekly titles. A current title holder keeps the title until defeated by a challenge in an official Title Match. A challenger must have a 2W streak to qualify for an official Title Match. That means we may not have Title Matches every week, but they will be well deserved when they occur.
Also, if any clan believes they can not play a match please let me know as soon as possible.

| Monday 8v on Sigma_lowgrens | 10:33am EST | Fornaught | Clans have been scheduled for Mondays matches. Clan ex won the title last week, but no opponent has the needed 2W streak to challenge them for the title this week, so they will play a normal match vs SNAFU. War and (o) play a Title Shot match this week and the winner will take on ex next week for the Title.
Sigma_lowgrens should be a fun map to play, just one caution about it. The respawns are directly in the attack path, and one spawn door is a likely Defense spot. Attacking a defender in that spot, or an odd grenade left there is ok under our rules, but camping the door and killing outgoing offense would not be. Just go easy on the spawn spam please, because that is not allowed in excess. |
| Etana2 League Server Plugin | 10:30am EST | Fornaught | About Etana2, our server plugin. We still require the etana2 version for all Gold 8vs8 matches, just as we have done since it was first released in 2006. Our league server metamod plugin is still performing its task as it has been for years. It has done a decent job in helping us keep matches cleaner, and it is a part of our overall efforts.
There is nothing new with this plugin or the way it works in 2008. It is not a 'trojan', it does nothing but receive data transmitted from the player to the server. It does not read or alter client files; nor scan memory or files; nor does it in any way enter your client computer. It can not be used for any malicious purpose, and it is a simple metamod plugin similar to the many other metamod plugins run by server admins, such as admin_mod, hlguard, mini-stats, etc. It does fulfill the purpose of keeping league matches cleaner, and that is it's only purpose for use in our league.
Etana2 is part of our overall Anti-cheat efforts, in conjunction with HLTV and recorded demos. Taken together, we hope that they provide a record for matches that acts as a deterrent on cheating.
STA Admins have a good history with anticheat, and our admins in STA do the best they can to keep matches clean.
Thankfully we have had much help from clan leaders who have given us great assistance and cooperation in keeping matches clean. I do not expect that to change and I thank you for that.

| Friday League | 12:43pm EST | Fornaught | Just a quick reminder to the clans playing in our Friday 6v6 Division.
2fort is the default map, chosen because it is the favorite map of all time for the public community players we hope will join our Friday Night fun.
Clans can agree to play a different map on Fridays. I only hope that clans pick maps that are relatively as well know as 2fort, so that the match is enjoyed equally by both teams, irregardless of the length of their league history. Try to stay away from odd maps, like that horrid bhop spectacle, congestus ;) . If you do play on another map, please write that into your match results report.

| Roster Additions | 8:14am EST | Fornaught | Some clan leaders are having problems with the roster system. This is caused by the roster system checking for duplicate entries of a single player's ID. When we setup two divisions on this site, we anticipated that admins would have to manually add players who wanted to play both divisions. But we are seeing an unexpected side effect once a clan has had a player manually added by an admin to a second roster. Any new players added to that same roster are blocked, even if the new player is not on a second roster.
We will have to find a solution to this.
Meanwhile, if you are having problems adding players, first check the other clans in your division for the players ID, then contact me for help.
If you have errors, you can send roster additions to: ( fornaught@foom.net ) OR pm the clan, name and ID to me in IRC.

| Phantom and 2fort League maps | 11:32pm EST | Dinosaur Gas | Phantom is up this week in 8v. Welcome ex to the league, unfortunately they get stuck with the uneven teams bye.
2fort captains:
All league rules, or lack thereof, are subject to change based on captains input. If you want to see something changed, or a rule implemented, use the captain's forums to discuss it.
Also, teams can agree to play a different map other than 2fort. The agreement must be documented in the #sta-tfc IRC channel though. |

| Torch2 is up! | 9:51am EST | Fornaught | One of my favorite maps, Torch2 is up for Monday and the schedule has been posted. If any clan needs a schedule adjustment, please contact an admin asap.
A reminder about our ban waiver system for years old TFC banned players. This is your opportunity to participate, in a legitimate way, in our STA Leagues. Please take advantage of the offer, it is a good one for you. The requirements are fairly light in comparison to previous probation programs. Contact a TFC admin if you have questions or concerns.

| Friday's schedule is up. Congestus for Monday | 11:46pm EST | Dinosaur Gas | Welcome Drippy's 2fort to the 2fort division. Hopefully they will be starting next week, so we can avoid forced byes. Remember, it's 2fort...keep it fun.
8v has congestus this week. We're still waiting on 2 teams to fill out their rosters, so we only have 2 matches this week.
